Computer engineering is a discipline that integrates several fields of electrical engineering, E & TC engineering & computer science required to develop computer hardware and software and being applied in every field of engineering & technology. This branch involves many hardwares and softwares aspects of computing, from the design of individual microcontroller, microprocessor, personal computer, and supercomputer, to circuit design. This field of engineering not only focuses on how computer systems themselves work, but also how they integrate into the larger picture. The special areas in computer engineering include coding, cryptography, and information protection, communications & wireless networks, compilers & operating systems, computational science & engineering, computer networks, mobile computing, & distributed systems. Computer systems architecture, parallel processing, robotics, embedded systems, integrated circuits, VLSI design, signal, image and speech processing.

The Department emphasizes on all round development of the students, to make them competent engineers. The Department has well qualified and experienced faculty members and technically competent supporting staff. Departmetn continuously upgrade existing resources through qualified and experienced faculty and state-of-the-art laboratories. We motivate the students to achieve not only excellence in academics but also on their overall personality development. Department form a student association “ACES”(i.e. Association of Computer Engineering Students). Guest lectures, Industry visits and intercollegiate competitions are organized regularly under ACES to improve the soft skills of the students.
