HOD’s Message

My Dear Students,
Electrical engineering is a field of engineering that deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. It is subdivided into a wide ranges of subfields including power electronics, power engineering, telecommunications, control systems, radio-frequency engineering, signal processing and instrumentation. Electrical engineers work in a very wide range of industries and the skills required are likewise variable. These range from basic circuit theory to the management skills required for project manager. The tools and equipments that an individual engineer may need are similarly variable, ranging from a simple voltmeter to a top end analyzer to sophisticated design and manufacturing softwares.

An electrical engineer can acquire expertise into a number of diverse streams like, Automatic control, Power Electronics, Power systems, Lighting, High Voltage Engineering, Embedded Systems, Circuit Simulation and Power Generation. In addition to these fascinating fields, he can also compete with the contemporary software engineers.
